Smart Smoke F.A.Q.

Q: What is an E-Cigarette?
A: An E-Cigarette is a device that has been developed to provide the user with the chemical he or she is going after, being Nicotine, without any of the negative attributes that are associated with traditional tobacco usage.

Q: How does it work?
A: The Ruyan product is a sophisticated electronic device that atomizes pharmaceutical grade, liquefied nicotine and produces a vapor that is taken into the lungs as if it were smoke, satisfying a user’.

Q: Is it smoke that comes out of the unit?
A: No, it is a harmless water vapor that is laced with Nicotine; No Tar, No Carcinogens, No Toxins, only the Nicotine we are going after when we smoke cigarettes. Since there is no second hand smoke being created, one can get the Nicotine fix they desire in any public place that smoking is banned, in the same house as your children, or in the office.

Q: Is Nicotine harmful to my health?
A: No, Nicotine is an Alkaloid that occurs naturally in plants such as Green Peppers, Tomatoes, Potatoes, Eggplants, and very much so in Tobacco plants. Its effects are similar to caffeine, also a naturally occurring Alkaloid, in that it causes an initial stimulation, and thereafter a feeling of Relaxation, Calmness, and an enhanced ability to concentrate.

Q: Is it recyclable?
A:  Yes it is. The manufacturing company did not use Mercury in the battery composition so it can be completely recycled, and again there is no smoke emission created. The Ruyan is a very green product in comparison to its tobacco counterpart.

Q: How long does the product last?
A: The unit is equipped to provide 800 Nicotine laced mouthfuls of water vapor. The usage varies to every consumer, but the equation is as follows; 3-4 puffs will satisfy a light or an ultra light smoker; 4 maybe a fifth puff if you are a full flavor or a 100 smoker. By this math 100 puffs would be equivalent to one pack of cigarettes, and as I said there are 800 on the unit, but we market it as an equivalent to 5 packs of smokes.

Q:  Will this product stain my teeth and clothing like my traditional tobacco products?
A: No, not at all. This product will be especially effective in relationships where one of the individuals smoke. There is no negative taste left in the user’s mouth or smell on the clothes or hair.

Q: Do I Have to turn it on and off?
A: No, there is an airflow sensor that tells the device when one is drawing the unit. There is also no heat element present, so there is no fire risk.

Q: Is there a smoking ban coming soon?
A: In my professional opinion, Yes there is.
Sen. Fred Risser, D-Madison, the author of the smoking ban bill that languished last session, said he plans to introduce it again next month. This time he is not including the restrictions keeping local governments from passing their own bans during an excessively long enactment period.  These restrictions made this bill largely unpopular last time around.
Gov. Jim Doyle is an enthusiastic supporter of a smoking ban. His newly elected Assembly Speaker Mike Sheridan said the prospects for a ban to pass in his house look good.
Since the last smoking ban failed some 37 Cities and Counties have adapted indigenous smoking restrictions. This includes Fond du Lac and Dane counties, Eau Claire, Middleton, Monona, and most importantly and with the strictest regulations, Weston.
The man that stood in the way of the last ban coming to the floor, Senate Majority Leader Russ Decker D-Weston is up for re-election next year and has been called out by his city, peers, the press, and all the anti-smoking groups. Odds are he won’t do it again.
